The Festival of the Dragon

    Greetings,

I am the Vendor Director for the 2010 Festival of the Dragon. I haven't met you personal, but I have heard about you from others and like Uncle Sam "I want you," to be a part of the Festival of the Dragon.

The Festival of the Dragon is a rebirthing and improvement of the first one that happened a few years back. It has increased to a 2 day faire from the 1 day it was originally and moved out of the flood prone area of Osawatime, Kansas to Williamsburg, Kansas. Williamsburg, Kansas is located just south of Kansas City right off of I-35.

Here are some of the key points.

    • It is a FREE faire to get into. More patrons with more money in thier pockets to spend.
    • It is you call it size vendor spots. For the standard vendor fee of $70, $100 for food vendors, you just tell me how big you need your space to be and I make it happen.
    • We are not authenti-nazis. There are vew few things that I would not allow to be sold seeing as this is a fantasy/renaissance festival.
    • We are having patron participation tournaments, suchs as boffer joust, a rum run, a boffer sword melee, and a trivia contest.
    • And finally and most important of all the whole faire is a benifit for the Byron T. Bear Foundation. Some if not most, if not all of you know or have met Byron T. Bear. A few know about his foundation. This is what they do. They rescue bear cubs and bears that are injured, rehabilitate them, and release them into the wild. If for some reason they can not be released into the wild again they take care of that bear for the rest of it's life. So far this year alone they have rescued 38 bear cubs. Now with all this good work they are doing here is the kick in the butt. They have been waiting 4 years for their grants to come in to help fund their work. The primary means by which they fund the Byron T Bear Foundation is performing at any and all events that will pay him. So any thing we get above our small and modest budget is also going to him as well as the funds from the patron participation tourneys.

With this all said if you have any questions please email at vendors@festivalofthedragon.com or check out our site at festivalofthedragon.com

Thank you for your time and I look forward to having you as vendors at the Festival of the Dragon.
